I’ve been interviewed!!!

Okay, today was Abby’s big day, it’s her graduation! The weather was hot, it was reported that the hottest of the day hit 35 degree celcius, 38 in London.

I was there to attend her ceremony and be her photographer. ….(Omit one thousands six hundreds and forty five words), and there I met Teresa Stead and Sue Baker, the Manager and Student Advisor from International Office, University of Bradford. I was so delighted they still remember me, and my name. I always like them, because they offer international students endless supports, both academic and personal wise, and they are the most friendly person you can find on earth!

So we had a little conversation and they were so happy (even happier than my parents!) to learn that I’ve got a career here as an assistant civil engineer. I am always grateful for the great support from the UoB’s International Office and I wish to give something back, so I offered myself to help when the next international students, especially from INTI, arrive to UoB. They also told me this is the first time they heard of an INTI student got a job here, in fact, there are dozens of INTI graduates got a job here, it just that they were not informed, so I told them so-and-so is working at…(omit few hundreds names and locations)

After the short conversation, I left and joined Abby and the crowds for more photography shoots. Then Teresa and Sue approached me, said they wished to introduce me to an International Marketing Officer, and hoping to do a informal interview with me.

I was surprised and flattered.

So we went to the International Marketing Office and met the interviewer. We had a very relaxing talk, generally bout why and how I choose to come to UoB, and how I secure a career here…(omit few thousands words). She then took some photographs of my “fat face”, Teresa was joking that I was going to be a celebrity, hell no, I don’t want my chubby face to be published and spread around the world! Arghh…I should shred more off!

Anyway, they have yet to decide whether the interview is going public. Personally, I enjoyed the inverview session, it makes me feel like I’ve achieve something really huge, though my biggest achievement so far is merely secure a job in a foreign country.

I’ll post the copy here if it goes public.
