Introducing Twitter

How many times you answer this question.

“What are you doing now?”

Whether it is from your caring mother, your loving wife, your checking boss or your friends who simply want to know what you up to, I am sure you get to ask this question few times a day.

I would like to introduce Twitter to my fellow readers.

Twitter is for staying in touch and keeping up with friends no matter where you are or what you’re doing. For some friends you might want instant mobile updates—for others, especially friends you made through various forums or simply your blog readers, you can just update them on the web.

The updates are displayed on the your profile page and also instantly delivered to other users who have signed up to receive your update. You can also put a Twitter badge in your blog/website to display your recent updates, you can even design your own display, just like mine. Apart from that, users can receive updates via the Twitter website, instant messaging, SMS, RSS, or through an application. For SMS, currently two gateway numbers are available: one for the USA and a UK number for international use. While the Twitter service is free, posting and receiving updates via SMS may incur charges from the wireless carrier.

Millions are already signed up, what are you waiting? Sign up now and follow me on Twitter!
