YouTube, launched in February 2005, has grown quickly into one of the most popular websites on the Internet. The 18 months old website has 72 million individual each month and 100 million video viewed everyday.

I was curious and wondering what was the letter about. The letter contains a pin for Adsense, which required to further payment process, in another word, I am getting paid soon!

I am so excited because I thought I need at least a year or two to get the very first bill from Google. The result is very encouraging, and it gives me the motivation to produce a better blog, a content blog, to thank you guys who support me.

As you can see from the chart below, I merely achieved USD 0.13 in February, the first month I introduce Adsense to my blog, and I stared at the figure and thought, when on earth will I hit USD 100 and get the cheque? With that progress, I might only get paid in 10 years, what?

I don’t want my blog to look so commercialize and eyesore, so I put the adsense on single pages (permalink pages, where you leave comments) and bottom of mainpage to boost page impression. In the single pages, the ads are betweeen the posts and comments, I hope by doing this people may be tempted to click on them.

Hoping this adsense will generate enough money to pay off my hosting fees (roughly USD 90 per year). Yea, help me by CLICKing on it from time to time.

As far as I understand, PageRank represents the importance of a page on the web. So what exactly does this PageRank take into account and how does it calculate? I was eager to find out.

According to WebWorkShop,

Google PageRank is a numeric value that represents how important a page is on the web. Google figures that when one page links to another page, it is effectively casting a vote for the other page. The more votes that are cast for a page, the more important the page must be. Also, the importance of the page that is casting the vote determines how important the vote itself is. Google calculates a page’s importance from the votes cast for it. How important each vote is is taken into account when a page’s PageRank is calculated.
