The Daily Mail and the Times have some information on what Marco Materazzi had said to spark the French’s fury. They hired lip readers to study the clip (you should have seen it before, and for those who haven’t, clip below is here for your convenient)

The following is alleged what Marco had said

From the clip, you could see clearly halt for a second, then headed back to the Italian to perform his head-butt-of-the-century. I am sure Marco really pissed him off. Does this also show the FIFA anti-racism campaign has failed in some way, or should I say it never a success one?

If Marco did say that, I think he well deserve it. But the fact is yet to be unveiled until FIFA finish the investigation. Zidane will also speak out later this week when he is calmer.

Okie, serious discussion aside, I’m sure many of you had read enough.

Italy is one of my favorites to lift the World Cup and they’ve made it. I’ve made a little fortune by betting them to draw at full time, and win the cup eventually. Well done Italian, they deserve it.

I’ve been watching the final game on and off because I was busy creating a new logo for to accomplish my new design. I hope to release the theme for wordpress users to download, hopefully by end of this month (sorry, out of topic…)

I am surprise how fast the internet is. I am writting this post within 20 minutes the Italian lifted the cup, and was searching for some related photos to post. So I search on google and there are loads of photos taken merely minutes ago. I really impressed. Thanks to the technology (out of topic, again? hmmm)

One thing I still don’t understand was why Zidane launched his bald head into the chest of Materazzi, after an exchange of words. Apparently, Materazzi said something to wind up Zidane but why would Zidane behave that way? That was his final game for his career and why would he ended his career in this shameful way? He is a great player and adored by many, I am sure he will be chased by media next few days because the whole world wish to know why he did that. Hmmmm…

Finally the 2006 World Cup has ended, so we have no more excuses for late at work and the wives could have their husband back.

Update 1:
Came to office this morning and my colleague, who just came back from holiday in Spain yesterday, told me that he was on the plane while the final was going on, and he was well updated about the game, not via radio (you can’t receive that high on sky), not via live TV (can’t receive that either!), but via the captain through in-plane annoucement!

Update 2:
Within 12 hours of Zidane’s world shocking headbutt, I’ve received this forwarded mail from my colleague. Again, it tells how fast the news spread through internet, and how fast people can create something out of it.

His self-destructive act of voilence has already vandalised his great reputation and ended a brilliant career, many of us are talking bout it this morning. I still wish to know the story from the French side.

I also received a powerpoint presentation file regarding England’s performance in world cup. After I watched it, I couldn’t help myself but laughing out loud in the office (paiseh paiseh).

I expect many more creative works will flood the world wide web these few days.
